10/26 NBA Fantasy Preview

Writer: 3 in the Key Team3 in the Key Team

With a big 10-game slate for tonight, we wanted to provide you guys with some of our favorite plays for the night! We're not going to waste anytime, so let's jump right into this!

ATLANTA HAWKS vs. DETROIT PISTONS

(ATL -7.5 | o/u 229.5)

G: Trae Young (DK: $9,700; FD: $8,700)

Detroit has been terrible against PGs so far this season (6th in PTS, 4th in REB, 3rd in AST, and 2nd in 3PM given up to PGs). Young is cheaper than Murray and his price on FD is an absolute steal.

G: Dejounte Murray (DK: $9,800; FD: $9,500)

Once again, Murray has a favorable matchup. I prefer Young's matchup tonight, but Murray has not had a bad game yet.

F/C: John Collins (DK: $6,800; FD: $7,600)

DET is 4th in PTS and 3rd in REB to opposing PFs so far this season and with Young/Murray having favorable matchups tonight, that should only benefit Collins.

ORLANDO MAGIC vs. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

(CLE -8.5 | o/u 215.5)

G: Donovan Mitchell (DK: $9,500; FD: $9,400)

Is there much to say? Mitchell is on a tear to begin this season and faces an ORL defense that was 7th in PTS, 7th in REB, and 2nd in 3PM to opposing PGs last season. He'll be the lead guard once again with no Garland.

F/C: Evan Mobley (DK: $6,300; FD: $6,400)

There is so much value with Mobley's price here. He's facing an ORL defense that has been the worst in PTS and 6th in REB given up to opposing PFs so far this season. He's been off to a slower start this season, but the matchup is there and with that price, it should be a steal.

BROOKLYN NETS vs. MILWAUKEE BUCKS

(MIL -3.5 | o/u 231)

G: Jrue Holiday (DK: $8,500; FD: $7,800)

BKN was terrible against PGs last season (2nd in PTS, 7th in 3PM, and 8th in REB to opposing PGs) and with no Khris Middleton once again, Holiday is the #2 option behind only Giannis. While his price tag is heftier on DK, Holiday should break his value.

G: Grayson Allen (DK: $4,800; FD: $4,200)

BKN has been very poor to PTS and 3PMs given up to opposing SGs so far this season and with those being Allen's strong suits, he's just too cheap to avoid.

G/F: Joe Harris (DK: $4,900; FD: $4,000)

MIL was the worst 3PT defending team last season and with Harris' minutes slowly increasing, he's too cheap to not look at.

F: Royce O'Neale (DK: $4,800; FD: $5,100)

Once again, MIL was the worst 3PT defending team last season and O'Neale has gotten into a rhythm early this season playing next to Kyrie, KD, and Simmons. He's even cheaper than Joe Harris on DK, so if you wanted to save $100 and go with Royce over Harris, I'd understand.

PHILADELPHIA 76ers vs. TORONTO RAPTORS

(PHI -2 | o/u 211.5)

F: Tobias Harris (DK: $6,000; FD: $6,200)

TOR has been very bad against opposing SFs so far this season (2nd in PTS, 4th in AST, and 4th in 3PM given up). While Tobias has had an up-and-down start to the season, he's shown flashes of his potential and should have a solid fantasy night.

F: OG Anunoby (DK: $6,000; FD: $6,300)

This one probably has you scratching your head after that horrendous performance OG just had, but PHI has not been very good against SFs this season (5th in PTS and 1st in 3PM given up) and with Scottie Barnes looking like he may sit again, I expect OG to look for his shot once again. Now, they just have to go in.

F/C: Pascal Siakam (DK: $8,800; FD: $9,600)

Not much to say here. Siakam is still too cheap, especially on DK, to not play every night until he fails you.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS vs. NEW YORK KNICKS

(NYK -7.| o/u 225)

C: Mitchell Robinson (DK: $5,300; FD: $5,200) OR F/C: Isaiah Hartenstein (DK: $5,000; FD: $4,600)

You know what one of our mottos here is: "Play centers against Mason Plumlee." Nothing else to say.

G: Evan Fournier (DK: $4,700; FD: $4,300)

This is one of the riskier plays of the night, but Fournier has a prime matchup to do what he does best against a CHA defense that was 5th in PTS and 2nd in 3PM given up to SGs last season. He's very cheap and wouldn't have to get too much to break value.

G: Dennis Smith Jr (DK: $6,000; FD: $6,500)

No LaMelo Ball once again AND Terry Rozier is out tonight. He's playing his former team and should be running the offense and getting whatever looks he wants with a weaker rotation. He has not had a bad game yet, so ride the hot hand.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS vs. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

(MIN -9 | o/u 234.5)

G: D'Angelo Russell (DK: $7,400; FD: $7,300)

D-Lo is facing a Spurs defense that has been poor so far this season and was poor last season as well. The point is this Spurs defense does not have the means to stop Russell. He just played the Spurs and put up 47 fantasy points on both DK and FD.

G: Tre Jones (DK: $5,500; FD: $6,300)

There's no Devin Vassell tonight, who has been the star of this team so far, so Jones should have the ball in his hands a lot more tonight. He's facing a MIN defense that is 4th in AST given up to PGs this season and was poor last season as well.

C: Jakob Poeltl (DK: $6,400; FD: $6,600)

Might as well call him 'Mr. Consistent' at this point. With over 30 fantasy points in the last three games, Poeltl faces a MIN defense that is 5th in REB and 7th in AST to opposing Cs. He's still not expensive enough.

G: Josh Primo (DK: $4,000; FD: $4,500)

Once again, Vassell's out, so I expect Primo to slot into the starting SG spot against a MIN defense that was not great against SGs last season. Primo is very cheap with a lot of upside tonight.

INDIANA PACERS vs. CHICAGO BULLS

(CHI -7 | o/u 233.5)

G/F: Bennedict Mathurin (DK: $6,200; FD: $5,700)

I'm still not off the Bennedict Mathurin train yet. While he had his worst performance last game with a little over 20 fantasy points, he has an incredible matchup against a CHI defense that is 6th in PTS, 4th in REB, 1st in AST, and 2nd in 3PM to opposing SFs so far this season.

G/F: Buddy Hield (DK: $5,800; FD: $5,500)

Hield has a beneficial matchup tonight for the same reasons I just named for Mathurin. Chicago has been very, very bad against SFs this season. Hield is even cheaper than Mathurin, so...

G: Tyrese Haliburton (DK: $8,300; FD: $8,600)

No-brainer here. Haliburton is still under $9,000 and is producing 40+ fantasy points a game. Plus, with news of Myles Turner suiting up tonight, that only gives Haliburton more weapons to work with.

HOUSTON ROCKETS vs. UTAH JAZZ

(UTA -8 | o/u 232.5)

G: Mike Conley (DK: $6,200; FD: $6,300)

Conley is facing a HOU defense that is 5th in PTS and 1st in AST to opposing PGs so far this season. With the sudden energy that this Utah team is playing with, Conley has been a big part of that.

F/C: Jarred Vanderbilt (DK: $5,100; FD: $6,100)

Vanderbilt has put up 30+ fantasy points in the last three games and faces a HOU defense that is 2nd in PTS and 2nd in REB given up to PFs so far this season. He is barely above $6,000 and has so much potential.

G: Kevin Porter Jr (DK: $7,600; FD: $7,700)

KPJ just torched the Jazz last game for over 49 fantasy points. He has the ball in his hands and runs this offense, so with another favorable matchup against the Jazz tonight, KPJ should have solid production.

G: Jalen Green (DK: $6,600; FD: $6,600)

Jalen Green is here solely for his price. For the amount of shots he puts up and how involved he is in the offense, this price is way too cheap to avoid.

F: Lauri Markkanen (DK: $6,500; FD: $7,200)

Markkanen had his worst game against HOU last game, but for that being his only bad game thus far, I can't avoid him for this price and how crucial he is to that UTA offense.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS vs. DENVER NUGGETS

(DEN -5 | o/u 229)

G: Jamal Murray (DK: $6,700; FD: $5,400)

Murray is facing an LAL defense that will be missing Westbrook tonight. LAL so far this season is 1st in PTS, 6th in REB, and 3rd in 3PM to PGs. Plus, Michael Porter Jr. is OUT tonight, so that only means more touches for Murray.

G/F: Lonnie Walker (DK: $4,700; FD: $5,200)

Lonnie Walker has been consistent for the past two games and has been allowed to take a ton of shots. Without Russ tonight, I expect Walker to have more offensive duties and for that price, there is so much value tonight.

G/F: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DK: $5,000; FD: $4,700)

There is no Michael Porter Jr. tonight which means a lot of shots are going to be spread throughout that offense. Playing his former team, I expect KCP to get his looks against a weak LAL defense.

MIAMI HEAT vs. PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

(MIA -2.5 | o/u 220.5)

F: Jimmy Butler (DK: $8,600; FD: $8,100)

Jimmy's price has drastically dropped, so facing a POR defense that was 1st in PTS, 1st in AST, and 1st in 3PM given up to opposing SFs last season, I expect a lot of value here with his new price tag.

G: Anfernee Simons (DK: $6,400; FD: $6,300)

Simons' price is still fairly low for his potential production and this one is based solely off of the confidence I saw him play with against Denver. He looked unstoppable out there and Lillard seemed to be doing everything to get him the ball. I don't expect Herro to be able to shut down Simons tonight, so for that price I like him.

Well, that's it for tonight. Sorry for getting this one out later than usual, there are a LOT of games tonight!
