1/3 Lucky 3's NBA Fantasy Preview

Good to be back for the first fantasy article on the site in a while! With no podcast episode today, we wanted to provide our favorite fantasy plays in a different form! And how perfect is it, once again, that there is THREE games on the NBA's slate tonight! We will be giving you our THREE favorite players from all THREE games ranging from cheap to expensive, so let's waste no time and jump into 3 in the Key's Lucky 3's!

BOSTON CELTICS vs. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER

(BOS -9 | o/u 233.5)

Cheap(er):

- F/C: Al Horford (DK: $4,800; FD: $5,600)

Al Horford has been dropping in price with his recent level of production, but I am expecting him to bounce back in a very favorable matchup versus OKC tonight. OKC allows the 7th most PTS, 2nd most REB, 3rd most AST, and 3rd most FPTS on DK and FD. In one game earlier this season against OKC, Horford had 12 PTS, 11 REB, and 4 AST with a block and a steal totaling up to 37.3 DKFP and 36.2 FDFP. I'm expecting Horford to have a solid night against a weak OKC defense tonight.

Cheap:

- G/F: Luguentz Dort (DK: $5,100; FD: $5,600)

With the lineup OKC has been running of SGA-Williams-Dort-Giddey-Williams, Dort has been playing his minutes at the SF position. BOS allows the 3rd most PTS, 1st most 3PM, 2nd most DKFP, and 4th most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing SFs. Dort has had double-digit shot attempts in 4 of his last 5 games, so with a favorable scoring matchup tonight, I'm expecting Dort to look for his shot once again.

Expensive:

- F: Jayson Tatum (DK: $10,700; FD: $11,000)

We're talking about Jayson Tatum here. One of the best players in the NBA right now. Tatum faces an OKC defense that allows the 3rd most REB, 5th most AST, 5th most DKFP, and 7th most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing PFs. Earlier this season against OKC, Tatum had 27 PTS, 10 REB, 1 AST, 3 BLK, and 3 STL totaling up to 54.5 DKFP and 57.5 FDFP. He had 50+ FPTS while shooting 39% from the field and 11% from 3 in that game, so I am expecting Tatum to have an all-around impressive game tonight.

Bonus Cheap Options:

F: Kenrich Williams (DK: $4,100; FD: $4,500)

G/F: Jalen Williams (DK: $4,900; FD: $5,600)

G: Tre Mann (DK: $3,600; FD: $4,300)

G: Derrick White (DK: $4,700; FD: $5,300)

WASHINGTON WIZARDS vs. MILWAUKEE BUCKS

(MIL -7.5 | o/u 230)

Cheap:

F: Rui Hachimura (DK: $4,500; FD: $5,600)

This price almost feels disrespectful with the level Rui has been playing at as of late. Sure, there's a chance Beal is back tonight, but Rui has solidified himself as the sixth man for this Washington team. Rui has produced 30+ FP in 3 of his last 5 games with double-digit shot attempts in all 5. I am riding the hot hand here with Rui's recent production plus his cheap price point.

Mid-level:

C: Brook Lopez (DK: $6,300; FD: $6,700)

Even with Giannis and Jrue presumably back tonight, Lopez still boasts a very favorable matchup tonight against the Wizards. WAS allows the 1st most PTS, 7th most REB, 3rd most DKFP, and 2nd most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing Cs. Lopez has had 30+ FPTS in 4 of his last 8 games and is averaging over 30 FPTS on the season. Hopefully with Giannis and Jrue back, the attention will be on them and Lopez can get open.

Expensive:

F: Kyle Kuzma (DK: $8,400; FD: $8,300)

KUUUUUZZZZZZZ! Fresh off a triple-double just the other night against MIL, Kuzma still boasts an incredible matchup against the Bucks here. MIL allow the 11th most PTS, 4th most REB, 3rd most AST, 7th most DKFP, and 5th most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing SFs (he has slid up to SF with Daniel Gafford in the starting lineup). Even if Beal suits up, Kuzma's price is not as bad as it could be, so I like him regardless.

Bonus Cheap Options:

C: Daniel Gafford (DK: $4,300; FD: $5,200)

F: Deni Avdija (DK: $4,600; FD: $5,400)

> It is Deni Avdija's birthday today...

F: Joe Ingles (DKl $3,900; FD: $4,400)

(And of course... if you want to pay up for Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight, feel free. It's Giannis.)

SACRAMENTO KINGS vs. UTAH JAZZ

(UTA -3.5 | o/u 242.5)

Cheap(er):

G/F: Kevin Huerter (DK: $5,500; FD: $5,500)

Kevin Huerter is listed as QUESTIONABLE as of right now, so do keep an eye on that. Huerter has an absolutely INCREDIBLE matchup tonight against the Jazz. UTA allows 1st most PTS, 5th most REB, 4th most AST, 1st most 3PM, 1st most DKFP, and 1st most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing SGs. Utah has been terrible against SGs recently, so I am taking advantage with Huerter, especially at this price point. Against UTA just the other night, Huerter had 30 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST, and 6 3PM totaling up to 40 DKFP and 37.4 FDFP. If Huerter is a full-go tonight, I expect Huerter to keep up this level of production.

Cheap(er):

F/C: Kelly Olynyk (DK: $5,200; FD: $6,000)

Kelly Olynyk was pretty bad against Sacramento the other night, but I'm riding with him again tonight expecting a bounce back game. SAC has allowed the 9th most PTS, 8th most REB, 1st most AST, 1st most DKFP, and 1st most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing Cs. Olynyk is fairly cheap here, so I expect him to hit his value tonight.

Expensive:

F/C: Domantas Sabonis (DK: $10,500; FD: $10,300)

Sabonis has been an absolute monster this season and now he's facing a UTA defense that allows the 3rd most PTS, 6th most REB, 5th most AST, 2nd most DKFP, and 3rd most FDFP all over the last 7 games to opposing Cs. Just the other night against UTA, Sabonis had 28 PTS, 11 REB, and 8 AST totaling up to 52.75 DKFP and 46.2 FDFP. Sabonis has produced 50+ FPTS in 8 of his last 9 on DK and 6 of his last 8 on FD. I am expecting Sabonis to continue his high level of dominance tonight against a weaker Utah post defense.

That is going to be it for the Lucky 3's today. We hope that any and all of this can help you guys pull down some money on this small slate tonight! These should be three good games barring any blowouts, so I am expecting good things tonight! Best of luck to every single one of you and we thank you so, so much for reading!

Let's bring home some money! 3 in the Key out!
